Thank you so much.. I will go through your link.
The issue I was having was -
1. I created an empty SAPUI5 project with HTML view in WEB IDE.
2. I was able to change the title to "Hello World" and see the change working.
3. When I added a simple control like a button, it wouldnt work at all.
4. I wanted to try couple of UI5 controls on WEB IDE so that I get familiar with them.
5. But the link you have shared is nice.. It gives me a jump start to connect to a gateway system and use the service and display it.
6. In the guide he is pointing to SALESORDERXX webservice.. Is SAP Gateway also available on the cloud for free trial. If yes, could you please share the link for that and how can I connect my WEB IDE to that backend gateway system.
Sorry am new to this whole UI5 world and try to make things work.. I do have some working experience on SAP Gateway.
